Corenox Embedded Systems LLC (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”), a limited liability company incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas, United States, operates the website www.geniuscores.com (the “Site”) via the Shopify platform. This Warranty Policy (the “Policy”) governs warranty coverage, repair, and replacement services for products purchased through the Site.
This Policy is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions and is provided in compliance with applicable Texas law, including Tex. Bus. & Com. Code § 2.314 et seq. (Implied Warranties), Shopify standards, and Google Merchant Center requirements.
Article 1: Warranty Coverage
1.1 Standard Warranty Periods
- General Products: Twelve (12) months limited manufacturer warranty from the date of shipment.
- Flat Panel PCs & Embedded Box PCs: Thirty-six (36) months limited manufacturer warranty from the date of shipment.
1.2 Scope of Warranty
The warranty covers manufacturing and system-level defects only and includes:
- Repair of defective components and labor
- Reinstallation of the original operating system if required
- Return shipping to the Customer after repair
- Replacement or store credit if the product cannot be repaired (at our discretion)
Warranty service is tied to the product’s serial number and original order number, both of which must be provided for all claims.
1.3 Implied Warranties
Where permitted by law, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the duration of the applicable express warranty period.
Article 2: Warranty Claim Process (RMA)
2.1 Initiating a Claim
- Email sales@geniuscores.com with order number, serial number, and issue description
- Remote troubleshooting may be attempted before RMA approval
- Upon approval, an RMA number and prepaid return label will be issued
2.2 Documentation
Proof of purchase is required. Claims without a valid order number or serial number may be rejected.
2.3 Processing Timeline
- Inspection: within five (5) business days of receipt
- Repair or replacement: within ten (10) business days, subject to parts availability
Article 3: Exclusions and Limitations
3.1 Excluded Conditions
- Physical damage, misuse, or accidents
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Use outside intended operating environment
- Firmware or software modifications not approved by us
- Damage caused by third-party peripherals
3.2 Warranty Void Conditions
- Unauthorized modification or repair
- Expired warranty period
- Incorrect product selection by the Customer
- Returns without an approved RMA
Article 4: Out-of-Warranty Services
For products outside the warranty period, repair services may be offered at the Customer’s expense. A written cost estimate will be provided and must be approved before work begins.
Article 5: Data and Liability Disclaimer
Customers are responsible for backing up all data prior to returning a product. We are not liable for data loss during repair or replacement.
Our liability under this Policy is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Article 6: Google Merchant Center Compliance
- Clear disclosure of warranty terms and exclusions
- Defined RMA and repair timelines
- Compliance with Texas consumer protection laws
Article 7: International Warranty Considerations
Warranty services are currently provided for shipments to the United States and Canada. Additional regions may be supported in the future subject to local consumer protection laws.
Article 8: Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
