Getting Started with ExProof on Shopify: Architecture and Setup

ExProof provides verification, transaction guarantees and compliance tooling that can be embedded into e-commerce workflows. When integrated with Shopify, it enables real-time verification and industry-specific workflows.

ExProof architecture — high level

  • API Layer: REST/GraphQL endpoints, authentication (API key / OAuth)
  • Business logic: rules engine, verification engine, event-driven triggers
  • Data layer: secure storage, auditing, monitoring
  • Webhooks: asynchronous integration with Shopify

Setup (short)

  1. Obtain API credentials and store them securely (env vars).
  2. Grant required Shopify app scopes (blogs, articles, themes, webhooks, orders).
  3. Add Liquid widget to theme and implement backend handlers (Node.js).

Sample integration (short)

// Webhook endpoint (Shopify order/create) - Node/Express example
app.post('/webhook/orders/create', async (req, res) => {
  const order = req.body;
  // send validation request to ExProof
});
