Exproof Panel PCs in Pharma Solvent Areas: Cleanability, Certification, Traceability

In pharma and life-science plants, solvent suites, utilities and some formulation areas demand both GMP and ATEX discipline. Stainless finishes and cleanability do not replace Zone certification—both must be designed together.

Requirements that only look conflicting

  • GMP: cleanability, traceability, user authorization
  • ATEX: ignition-source control, certified enclosure

With an exproof panel PC plus exproof readers, electronic batch-record (EBR) steps can complete inside the Zone; card/face auth can tie into PTW.

Practical checklist

  1. Solvent class and ventilation cases (normal / fault)
  2. Panel IP + enclosure material (resistance to cleaning chemicals)
  3. Audit trail: who, when, which step
  4. Fallback: engineering station outside the Zone

Next step: Share your Zone classification and process gas/dust profile; we will prepare a quote from our Exproof product collection (HMI, barcode, access and peripherals). Genius Core acts as Official Distributor for this series with selection and documentation support.
